Overcome Your Fear of Flying

What is the TRUE cost of being afraid to fly, not in terms of dollars and cents..., that’s one of the smaller costs, what does it REALLY cost?

·         Do you avoid flying completely? What does it cost you in terms of your LIFE when you don’t have the opportunity to see new and different places because of your fear?
·         What about family and friends? Are there people you would like to visit more often but don’t?
·         Do you make excuses for why you can’t fly? Do you waste your time driving places that you could have been at in hours if only you could fly comfortably?
·         How does it affect the people in your life? Does your family miss out too because you hate to fly? Is that fair to them?
·         What about your self-esteem? How depressing it can be to be held back by a fear about something so many other people take for granted?

Having a fear of flying comes at too high of a price.

Things don’t need to be so stressful and vacations and trips can be FUN again, like they should be. Maybe you could advance at work or have a different career completely if you knew you could fly in peace and comfort. What effect would it have on other people in your life? Does your family miss out because of your fear? Do you see friends less? Don’t you at least owe it to THEM to overcome your fear of flying? Tackle your fears and discover how to fly in comfort and confidence

To fly in peace...with complete and total comfort and confidence, you only need to do two things:

·         First, you need to trust the plane and the people who work in aviation so you don’t need to concern yourself with the plane crashing or wonder how the heck that huge airplane stays up there.
·         Second, and maybe more importantly, you need to know how to control your feelings and reactions so you remain comfortable and in control on board the airplane.

You don’t need to resort to drinking or pills. Doesn't it make more sense to fix the PROBLEM rather than just try and suppress the SYMPTOMS? Traditional therapy can take months and run into thousands of dollars. The Takeoff Today Program isn’t about feeling good, warm and fuzzy..., it’s about cutting edge psychological techniques that can teach you to master your feelings on the plane and completely alter the way you experience flying.

Flying can become a career or a hobby.  In either case you want the most efficient and comprehensive training available. How many flying incidents do you hear “it was pilot error”?  Flying for a career or a hobby you don’t want to learn by trial and error. Computer based interactive study programs offer the utmost efficient and comprehensive training. it’s like having a one on one instructor. Available tests allow you to measure your own progress and review sections where need.

Cross-Country Flying requires planning and it is highly recommended that a flight plan be filed. I received my private pilot’s License in 1972 and shortly after I planned a flight from Long Beach, CA to Seattle, WA. I got up very early that morning and drove to the airport only to find the airport fogged in. It was almost noon when the fog cleared and I proceeded to file my flight plan and get under way. I just passed over the airport at Coalinga, CA, when my radio started to fade and I realized the electrical system was not functioning. A U turn back to Coalinga and landing was in order. They charged the battery and checked out the electrical system and, after two hours, I topped off the fuel tanks. I amended my flight plan for a refueling stop at Medford, Or, in place of Redding, CA and a destination of Portland, OR. I was ready to resume the flight. Arriving in Medford, I found the fueling station closed for the night but a note on the gate said if I called they would come and fuel my airplane. After getting something to eat and another two hours the plane was refueled and I was ready to start my last leg of the flight. Sometime after taking off from Medford, I fell asleep. I don’t know for how long but it was long enough to use fuel from the right wing fuel tank and cause the plane to bank and turn to the left and loose altitude. I think it was a change in engine noise that woke me up. I level, ed the wings and climbed to a higher altitude. I was well off course and used the VOR to find my location and set a new course to Portland, landing there after 3 AM. I have made numerous flights from San Diego to Portland, Seattle and Spokane and many places in between without incident, but I learned to never ever challenge myself or mother nature. There is always tomorrow.

Safety is first and foremost when flying, don’t just learn safety but live it. Practice emergency procedures until they are second nature for you.

Interactive study programs are fun and effective. Dedicate yourself to the training program and you will pass the written test in days not months or years, as it is with old fashion training techniques. Many give up and never pass the test with these out dated programs.

Be well prepared for your flight training. You will receive your Private Pilot’s License in a short period of time.
I wish you the best of luck in your flight training endeavor.

You have always dreamed of learning how to fly but didn't know where to begin, now you do!
